Wrap: After losing her current position as State Auditor to Rep. Tom Schweich, Susan Montee did not attend the Democratic Watch Party in Kansas City.

Communications Director for Emanuel Cleaver says the night was filled with some let downs and sometimes a loss is something that a candidate would like to deal with at home.

Actuality:  ROTERT.WAV

Description: "I think that Auditor Montee is at home trying to figure out and waiting on results in a private way. I think for folks who don't run for public office, when close races happen they are really hard to deal with."

Danny Rotert says he thinks the night had been a rough one for Democrats across the state of Missouri.

Former Caucus Director for the House of Democrats, Chris Moreno says it was a tough climate for Democrats, but there is a lesson that is learned from this election.

Reporting from Kansas City I'm Becky May.
