Description: Let a law enforcement agency hire retired peace officers when the governor has proclaimed a disaster or emergency or a when there is a national emergency. The Senate added several unrelated amendments involving creation of a radioactive waste investigation fund, ambulance district reimbursement rates, emergency medical profession licensing, domestic violence fatality review panels, and more.

    Description: Provide that the $10 fee charged for serving a court order that goes to the sheriff salary fund is collected by any person appointed to serve a court order. Current law limits the fee to an order served only by the sheriff.
