HCS HB 1235 Sponsor:Hoskins, Denny Status: S Transportation Description: Expand a law allowing special permits for overweight agriculture trucks to cover any agricultural product, not just live stock aand allow it statewide except for interstate highways. The current provision is limited to specific highways and only for hauling livestock.

HCS HB 1237 Sponsor:Hoskins, Denny Status: GOVERNOR SIGNED Description: Extend from 2015 to 2020 the tax charged on the salaries of non-resident athletes and entertainers performing in Missouri. The money goes to a variety of activities including the Arts Council, historic preservation and public broadcast.

* HB 1453 Sponsor:Hoskins, Denny Status: H Ways & Means Description: Phase in an income tax rate cut each year that state General Revenue tax collections grew by at least $200 million in any one of the prior three years -- eventually lowering the highest rate from 6 percent to 5 percent. The governor vetoed a similar bill, SB 253, in 2013.

HB 1455 Sponsor:Hoskins, Denny Status: GOVERNOR VETOED Description: Expand to all companies a provision giving the Revenue Department the burden of proof in a tax liability dispute. Current law limits the burden of proof to smaller companies. Legislative staff estimate the cost to state government of more than $100,000. In his veto letter, the governor wrote this was one of several bills providing special interest tax breaks that would cost state and local government $776 million per year. The governor did not provide a cost estimate for this bill in his veto letter.
