    Description: Shorten the number of weeks for which a person can collect unemployment compensation if the state's unemployment rate drops below nine percent. Make the number of weeks of eligibility a sliding scale based on the unemployment rate to as low as 13 weeks. The governor vetoed a similar bill, HB 150 in 2015. The legislature overrode the veto, but the override was struck down by the state Supreme Court based on the Senate delaying a vote on the override until the veto session.

The final version, initiated by the Senate, eliminates the rental tax credit repeal and substitutes transferring to the Senior Services Protection Fund any unused fees and funds from commissions, licensing boards and agencies.
