Wrap: There's a five hundred million dollar budget hole to patch, and what will the Missouri Legislature spend its time doing Wednesday night?

Playing softball.

With just over 3 weeks left in the legislative session, senators and representatives will take swings with a bat and not at each other.

So far, Governor Jay Nixon has signed three bills into law with two others passed and on their way. All five started in the House.

Wrap: One month removed from their legislative recess, Missouri senators and representatives will participate in another kind of recess.

They'll take Wednesday night off and play softball.

The last two years rain hampered the game.

Just over three weeks remain in the legislative session, and there's still a historic five hundred million dollar budget gap to fix.

No bills that started in the Missouri Senate have made it through the House. The senate has sent three bills to the governor.
