Missouri's revenue up 0.8 percent in August

Intro:  For the first time in three years, Missouri has some good tax collection news. Jamal Andress has more from Jefferson City.

Wrap: State Budget Director Linda Luebbering says this year, Missouri could hit its revenue prediction for the first time in about three years...

This after adjusting the prediction just two months into the fiscal year.

Description: "It is good news, if you look at the year as a whole the first two months of July and August combined we're still down 1.4% compared to last July and August. So we're headed in the right direction. We were hoping to head in this direction, so we're about where we expected to be for the year."

Missouri tax revenue for August is slightly up this year as compared to last August.

Despite the increase, Lubbering says Missourians are still being cautious with their money.
