The department already has 600,000 doses of anti-viral medication in reserve to treat the virus if it appears in Missouri, despite the fact there have been no confirmed cases in the State.

Spokesman Kit Wagar said the department has requested supplies from the Federal government.

Description: We're getting additional doses, I mean, the main thing is it should be plenty to deal with any foreseeable problems.

Wagar said the cases in Kansas were linked to travel and do not indicate that the virus is spreading toward the Missouri.

He also said while the cases in the United States have been much more mild than those in Mexico, all precautions will be taken so that if there were an emergency, quick action could be taken.
