Description: The dynamics of a huge Republican majority and the Governor in the same party is gone, so we're all forced to be at the table and I think that's a great thing for the citizens of Missouri.

LeVota says he will be meeting with the Governor-elect Jay Nixon and other house leaders to get organized.

Missouri's Democratic House Leader Paul LeVota says he is excited to work with the Republicans to bridge the gap between the parties.

LeVota says Missourians vote the way they do because they want both parties to work together.

Actuality:  LEVOTAJ2.WAVE
Run Time: 00:16
Description: I think it just shows the independence of the people of Missouri, and the fact that they're not all with one party.  They're not all with one issue. But they look at the candidates individually, and I think we're going to bring that to the House of Representatives and make sure that we respect that.

LeVota says he shares common goals with Democratic Governor-elect Jay Nixon, so they should work well together.
