State Senator Betty Sims says not enough people in Missouri use seat belts.

That's why she's proposing a bill that would let police officers pull cars over just for someone not wearing a seat belt.

The bill would not allow officers to pull over a car to check seat belt usage--the officer would have to see a violation first.

The Senate Transportation Committee hasn't yet acted on the bill.
