Governor Holden announced a new preparation measure for terrorism on Monday. Martha Kang has the story from Jefferson City:
The Missouri Hospital Association, the state Health Department and the Office of Homeland Security have joined to form an emergency communications system in case of a disaster or a terrorist attack.
The new internet system connects hospitals, health care agencies and providers of emergency services, and allows them to work together in an emergency situation.
Vice President of the Missouri Hospital Association Mary Becker says the system will prepare the state for any unexpected emergencies.
OC:"of a disaster"
Becker says the system will allow all the hospitals in the state to be linked for the first time.
From the state capitol, I'm Martha Kang.
