"Put your best foot forward." That's what the Governor's wife is hoping you do. Julie Kroenig has more in Jefferson City.

The Governor's mansion will be open to children who need some shaping up.

A manners class is being offered at the mansion for eight to tweleve-year old children.

The kids will learn how to set a table, and use manners at dinner and on the phone.

Mary Pat Abele, from the Missouri Mansion Preservation Incorporation, says the day is a lot of fun.

Contents: We did this project first in the year 2000. It was a collaboration then between Missouri Mansion Preservation and then first lady Jean Carnahan as a way of sharing the mansion's hospitality and history with children.

The children end the day by bringing a guest to a four-course luncheon.

The class starts July 10 and runs every Wednesday through the end of the month.
