Governor Holden Pushes Rainy Day Fund

Governor Holden held a press conference last night where he urged House Republicans to approve the use of the Rainy Day Fund.

The Senate passed the measure earlier this week, and the House Democrats have already indicated their support of the Fund's use.

Holden wants the Republicans to put politics aside and join the rest of the legislature in supporting the bill.

Today the House will hear debate over the use of the Rainy Day Fund.

Holden warned the House of consequences that may occur if the Fund is not used.

The House Democrats have already expressed their support of the Fund's use, but House Republican leader, Catherine Hannaway, said that there are other ways the governor can solve the budget crisis.
