Kenney says transportation won't pass this session

According to the Senate Majority Floor Leader, transportation is dead.

Republican floor leader Bill Kenney said he will not bring up transportation in the Senate in the last two days of the legislative session.

The remark came after pressure from St. Charles Democrat Ted House to stay late to work on the governor's $500 million transportation plan.

House says he blames Senate President Pro Tem Peter Kinder and the Republican leadership for their failure to get a vote on the issue.
