Missouri legislators say goodbye to this year's legislative session...but some are saying goodbye forever. Michelle Wirth has more from Jefferson City.

A bill extending legislative term limits to twelve years, died before final passage on the last day of the 2001 legislative session. Representative Jim O'Toole says term limits should be extended because there's nothing wrong with a lifetime spent in public office.

Currently, legislators can only serve eight year terms in the House and the Senate. The bill would have asked the public to vote on extending those terms. From Jefferson City, I'm Michelle Wirth.
