The State Capitol is under tight security

Employees at the State Capitol had to wait in line to get through security to get to work today.

Julie Kroenig has the story from Jefferson City.

All employees and visitors who did not have Capitol identification had their bags searched and had to pass through metal detectors.

The Missouri Security Panel will meet to come up with ideas to improve public safety.

The Special Advisor to the Governor on Homeland Security, Colonel Tim Daniel, will head the committee.
