Food for State Workers

Employees for the state may be biting off more than they can chew when it comes to their food expenses, and the state auditor is bring it to their attention. Richard Jordan has more from Jefferson City.

In a press conference on Monday, state audtior Claire McCaskill said that state employees are taking advantage of state money for unneccessary food expenses.

The audit report shows that more than ten-point-six million dollars has been spent on meals provided by state agencies in the past two years.

According to administration commissioner Michael Hartmann, a committee will be examinging these findings in order to make recommendations on how to lower that figure.
