Sen. Anita Yeckel says there's probably not enough time to hear a bill to allow simulcast horse races in the Senate this year.

The bill would allow betting on simulcasted horse races, provided that the venue had live racing at least 50 days a year.

Yeckel says she supports the measure.

Contents: Anita Yeckel says she supports the bill, because she loves horses and thinks this is the cleanest version of the bill to come forward.

The bill is still stuck in a Senate committee because there has not been enough time for opponents to testify.
