Missouri's 132 thousand World War Two vets or their families would get 400 dollars each according to a plan passed by the House Monday.

Representative Bill Boucher attached the proposal to give out the money and 50 dollar medals to WW two vets to another bill. The bill passed easily.

His proposal would cost the state 14 million dollars next year and 42 million dollars over next two years.

Boucher isn't worried about the cost though, he's worried about the timing.

Eligible vets would have live in Missouri for over six months, been honorably discharged and have served in the war for more than six months.
