Houses passes road and transportation bill

Missouri's House has voted to give lawmakers more power over bonding for highway projects. Tammara Porter has more on that story in Jefferson City.

Missouri's House passed a bill giving the legislature power to approve the Highways and Transportation Commission's funding plans.

Representative Don Koller says after some tuning, he's very pleased with the bill.

The bill allows those in charge of Missouri roads and transportation to get approval from the legislature for funding plans.

But, the bill comes with an amendment capping the amount of money used to fund highway expenses.
