Racial profile debate in Senate over .08 bill.

The same day St. Louis Senator Lacy Clay announced his candidacy for US Congress he sparked debate on racial profiling under the Senate's .08 bill.

Laetitia Thompson has the story from the state capitol.

Clay offered an amendment requiring police to record the race of each individual pulled over under suspicion of drunk driving.

Clay says the proposal will allow the Department of Public Safety to monitor racial profiling...a problem Clay says is rampant in St. Louis.
