The sponsor of a Missouri Senate bill to increase the chances of getting charter schools in St. Louis has put the bill on the shelf.

St. Charles Senator Ted House is the sponsor of the bill to expand charter schools in Missouri. He is specifically working to get charter schools in St. Louis.

House is regrouping because so many Senators proposed changes to his bill.

Contents: House says there are 34 senators and 34 opinions on the charter school issue and his task is to try and strike a balance between those opinions.

A proposal to allow charter schools outside of St. Louis and Kansas City was voted down.
