Off-track betting barely passed the Senate today/Wednesday and is now on its way to the House chamber. Princess Reyes has more on this story from Jefferson City.

The bill, approved by a close vote of 18 to 16, left some senators unhappy. Senator John Russell of Lebanon says he opposes any form of gambling and says he did not want this bill to advance to the House.

He says he is concerned about what effects gambling will have on people.
