U.S. Senate Passes Legislation Lowering Blood Alcohol Level, Two Missouri Senators Want to Do the Same

Just as the U-S Senate passed a measure lowering the blood alcohol limit to .08, two Republican Missouri Senators hold a press conference on doing the same in Missouri.

President Clinton called on Congress to pass legislation lowering the blood alcohol limit from .01 to .08.

Just days later, two Republican Missouri Senators held a press conference to discuss their efforts to do the same thing in Missouri.

Senator Morris Westfall from southwest Missouri said he believes a lower limit would be a deterent.
