The latest scandal surrounding President Clinton could prove to be the most lethal.
Melissa Phillips has reaction from the Missouri State Capitol.
Both Republican and Democratic legislators agree that the allegations aimed at President Clinton are disappointing.
But lawmakers do not agree that if the charges are true impeachment hearings are the next step.
State Senator Ken Jacob says affairs are common and that many people would lie to protect what they do behind closed doors.
Jacobs also says that if President Clinton did have an affair, it doesn't reflect on his ability to carry out his duties as President.
Reporting from Jefferson City, this is Melissa Phillips.
