Senators have approved a House bill that would force health insurance agencies and H-M-O's to cover the cost of shots for kids under the age of five.

Kansas City Senator, Ed Quick says that besides improving Missouri's 49th place standing on immunization...the bill is also a cost-saving measure.

Contents: Senator Quick says that Centers for Disease Control Statistics show that by paying the one dollar cost for immunization programs now, ten dollars will be saved down the road.

House Bill sponsor, Representative Scott Lakin (Lay-kin) says he doesn't think the House will have any major objections to three Senate amendments on the measure.
