A mild, wet summer made for good growing conditions in much of Missouri.

According to a recent report more than half of the states farmers say their corn crop is in good condition.

The Agriculture department says high grain prices and the expectation of a good grain harvest are a successful combination.

Agriculture Department spokeswoman Sally Oxenhandler says conditions are making farmers pretty happy.

Some areas in north central and southwestern Missouri did not get as much rain this year, so their harvest may not be as successful.

Right now the crop production is almost two weeks ahead of schedule.
